Resurrecting a companion

Are there any mods that allow you to bring back your fallen comrades? Its pretty annoying when they get killed off.

Maybe some sort of necromancy mod that involves a spell or ritual.

don't know of any plugins but there is a simple console command. open the console (the ¬ key, or ~ on american keyboards), click the dead companion and type resurrect. hit return and you have your very own brain eating zombie following you around

ok, so maybe not a zombie as such.... or at all

Problem with such a resurrection mod is it would have to be specially written for a companion. As far as I remember, only the 'Companion Hilda'-mod features resurrection. Theoretically it would be possible to make a plugin which will allow to resurrect companions from varying mods, but their IDs would have to be specified within.
Best thing though would be to protect them. Stop watching them dance naked and give 'em some good armor

it'd need some tweaking to make it work as a necromancy mod, quite a bit of scripting really. the resurrect command really just resets the character, which means their inventory will be reset and some dialouge topics may be. but if you empty their inventory before resurrecting them you can give it all back after (assuming it's a companion that uses companion share) and in most cases the dialouge topics can be done over if need be

I used resurrect on a companion and it worked but all her items and gear and levels and eveyrthing got reset which kind of sucked.

Which is why it might be a good idea to loot your companion's corpse BEFORE resurrecting them with the console.
